She struggled to find her sense of belonging adjusting to Australian life and noticed that she was not the only woman in need of comfort and kindness, and of course food. Amani Nsemwa is a farmer, a lazy one. Nevertheless, he likes making love as much as he does like coffee, the lords haven’t yet blessed him with a kid nor a wife. It all started nine years back with letters to beautiful chicks at numerous schools, then to poetry, when there was no one to write to. He’s tricked by good romance, and to a great deal when there’s PlayStation. When he isn’t reading or holding a smartphone, he’s probably singing, watching Coming to America, or dreaming of Imogen Poots. You can connect with him on Instagram @a.nsemwa.
Annette Mbapa Ikongo: I am a singer, song writer and poet. I started writing poetry when I could not get a rhythm from my music and have not stopped ever since. Apart from the arts, I also have knowledge in Law, Conflict and Security studies and International Development.

Troy Da Costa: I was born in Arcadia, Harare, Zimbabwe and now London based. My work is image heavy and very much abstract, looking to describe the complexity of human emotion. We are after all not just one thing but a collection of exploding synapses, a chaotic form, in a chaotic space, trying to bring order and meaning, and substance to the idea of our lives. “Failure is not the end but rather a signal to change direction” is a major theme running the spine of most of my work encouraging readers to assess their programming and core beliefs.
